Studio Theatre Club Presents
The Duchess of Malfi
by John Webster

Wednesday 26th - Saturday 29th April - 7.30pm

£10, concessions £9

For ticket information:

he Duchess of Malfi is a macabre, gothic drama of love, revenge and redemption. Webster built a reputation for dark, violent, bloody plays - he was parodied in the movie Shakespeare in Love as a small boy who tortures mice and who wants to write plays like Titus Andronicus when he’s older: “Plenty of blood. That's the only writing".

We've stripped back the text to create a tense psychological thriller whilst retaining the poetry of the original. Audiences can expect to see hints of the British Gangland of the 1950/60s, as well as hints of more modern thrillers such as Reservoir Dogs.

The play includes scenes of violence and murder. Not suitable for young children.
